William J. Beneke, MD
Dr. Beneke earned his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo, New York, after receiving his bachelor’s degree in biology from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. His internship was completed at State University of New York at Buffalo, Graduate Medical-Dental Consortium, and his residency at Buffalo General Hospital. Dr. Beneke’s primary specialty is Cardiology. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Beneke is highly skilled in echocardiography and transesophageal echo, and has special clinical interest in valvular heart disease. Dr. Beneke moved to the Hampton Roads area from Buffalo, New York, where he had been practicing General Cardiology, and serving as Medical Director, Non-Invasive Lab, at Buffalo General Hospital.
He and his wife, Suzanne, have two children. His personal interests include tennis and skiing.
